In times of natural disaster Purina’s goal is to provide timely support to pets and people in need. The Community Affairs, Pet Welfare and St. Louis headquarters teams are monitoring the situation of flooding in the local area.
Though the storms continue throughout the region, St. Louis has already experienced historic rainfall in a matter of hours – reports of up to 11+ inches of rain have caused numerous dangerous flash floods throughout the metro area. We have experienced very minor issues with several small leaks around campus (and those have already/are currently being repaired) and we’re closely monitoring any impact to associates.
You may have seen several news reports of local shelter partners battling flooding; the Pet Welfare team has already agreed to pledge $10,000 of support to these local partners. We are also assessing other ways to support by connecting with local and national partners to determine needs and scope.
