Nestlé Purina continues its track record of excellence in community support with a generous $20,000 grant to Animal House Cat Rescue and Adoption Center.
This grant will help Animal House make building improvements, increase adoption outreach and continue forward momentum. Animal House Co-Founder and Director, Brandyn Jones says “This grant will positively impact the lives of hundreds of cats and kittens in need in our community. It will save lives.”
Animal House has continued to grow throughout its five years of operation. Recently, the organization purchased their building (located at 2151 59th St), further cementing a safe refuge for disadvantaged cats in the St. Louis area to the Metro-East. Animal House’s adoption center holds up to 300 cats at any given time, cats who would otherwise have nowhere else to reside.
Nestlé Purina Director of Community Affairs, Kasey Bergh, says “We know how much work goes into operating a rescue organization, which is why we’re happy to provide this donation to help Animal House build capacity and incorporate resources that will ultimately lead to more cats finding their forever homes.”
Nestlé Purina is committed to serving the needs of communities where they live and work. The Company has a rich history of community involvement in the city of St. Louis and in the communities where they operate manufacturing facilities across the U.S. In 2014, Nestlé Purina donated approximately $8 million to pet-related charities and other community organizations and civic groups across the Americas.
