Saint Croix Animal Friends received a $30,000 capital donation from Nestlé Purina in December in support of the ongoing effort to build the St. Croix Animal Friends Humane Society Adoption and Education Center in St. Croix County. The donation marks a significant milestone along the way to raising the capital funding needed for the facility.
“We wish to extend a sincere thank you to Nestlé Purina for this amazing donation,” says Diana Neubarth, Saint Croix Animal Friends President. “Over the years, hundreds of animals will benefit from the comfort and safety of these rooms, while they await their forever home. Nestlé Purina’s commitment to responsible pet ownership, humane education, community involvement and a loving and positive bond between people and their pets coincides directly with the mission of St. Croix Animal Friends.”
Neubarth and the St. Croix Animal Friends Board of Directors hope that Nestle Purina’s donation will encourage others to match their gift, thus expediting the construction of the new shelter.
Kip Stevenson, Factory Manager at Nestlé Purina’s Hager City, Wisconsin, manufacturing facility, says, "We are happy to support St. Croix Animal Friends monthly with pet food and litter, in addition to being able to grant this donation. Their expansion will go a long way to provide needed services and support for pets in the St. Croix area.
The donation will allow Nestlé Purina naming rights for two of the future shelter canine and feline rooms.
Nestlé Purina is committed to serving the needs to the communities where they operate, with a primary focus on organizations that support the well-being of pets and the people who love them. Annually Purina supports more than 900 animal welfare organizations across the U.S. through monetary and pet food donations.
